Public Offer & Terms of Service
Transparency and professional standards for your peace of mind.
1. Agreement Scope
By requesting a quote or booking services from Handyman Winteza, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This agreement constitutes a legally binding contract for the provision of property maintenance and refurbishment services.
2. Pricing and Payments
Handyman Winteza operates on a fixed-price project basis.
- Quotes provided are based on the initial assessment of the scope of work.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Any unforeseen works required during the project (hidden damage, structural issues) will be communicated to the Client, and a revised quote or variation agreement will be required before proceeding.
- Payment terms are strictly as agreed upon at the time of booking.
3. Performance of Services
We aim to perform services to a high professional standard. However:
- Timelines provided for project completion are estimates only. We will use best efforts to adhere to schedules, but we shall not be liable for delays caused by force majeure, material delivery issues, or site access restrictions.
- The Client must provide reasonable access to the property, electricity, and water required for the service.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handyman Winteza shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from the services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of this agreement shall not exceed the total price paid by the Client for the specific service project. We are not responsible for existing structural weaknesses or pre-existing conditions of the property that may be discovered during work.
5. Cancellations and Cooling-Off
In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015:
- Clients have a 14-day "cooling-off" period if the contract was concluded at a distance.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of a scheduled service visit may incur a cancellation fee to cover administrative costs and lost appointment time.
6. Warranties and Guarantees
We perform our work with reasonable care and skill. We do not provide absolute guarantees on the longevity of pre-existing materials or structures provided by the Client. Any warranty on materials is limited to the terms provided by the manufacturer of those materials.
7. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
